Stock Compensation, Revenue Recognition, Equity Transactions, Research and Development are four areas of fundamental importance to emerging technology companies and four areas that have unique and often complex accounting issues. The course will highlight key accounting and reporting matters and to give attendees a working understanding of the impact these areas have on their business.

October 15 & 16: Entrepreneurship Series #5: Marketing, Pricing, and Your Competition
Companies can fail or flourish depending on their marketing strategy. This workshop covers issues such as: marketing fundamentals, defining and segmenting the total addressable market, customer and competitive analysis, and branding. The workshop will also lead you through an exercise on how to think about pricing.

October 27: Successful Selling Skills and Tactics
Not all entrepreneurs are prepared for it, but the founder of a company becomes the company’s leading sales person. They may not be selling product directly to customers, but they will be selling the business concept to investors, management team, partners, etc. This workshop will help future leaders refine their own sales skills, and understand tactics that salespeople use to attract customers.
